Most of the puppies have opened their eyes. Things will really get fun from here on, as they can see what's around them. Most of them are walking now as well and today, I got video of Pup 6 nipping on Pup 5. Yesterday was the first of three consecutive days that we give them Panacur 10% oral suspension worm treatment. They really don't like the medicine. The dose is .5ml, so I took one of those little syringes that comes with children's liquid calpol and marked it at .5ml and used it to squirt the medicine in their mouths. It's getting harder to weigh them too, because they squirm and the digital scale won't settle when they move. It's sad that my first few interactions with them after opening their eyes are stressful. I guess I need to snuggle them all a few times a day to make up for it. We currently have three people that have applied for a puppy, but we won't have visitors until they are three weeks old. I won't post names, but here is the list from A. to C. and which puppy they have expressed interest for (M/F indicates gender of each puppy), as well as two more enquiries: A. Pups 1M and 5F, no specified gender preference. B. Interested in Pup 4M, but needs to include her daughter in the selection process.
C. Wants a female, so Pup 5F or 6F, dependent on which ones persons A. and B. choose.
E. Expressed interest in Pup 4M. F. Expressed interest in Pup 6F. This evening, I found them in two piles, girls on the left hand side of the box and boys on the right hand side. Here are some photos of them segregated, plus a few videos. Enjoy! Hoodad Mike
