Caramel's Puppies Have Arrived!

Caramel’s second and final litter of F1b+ Cockapoo puppies were born on 30 January.
Six healthy puppies are now settling in, and we’re enjoying these early days as they grow, nurse, and begin their journey.

This page will be updated regularly as the weeks unfold, with photos and updates as their individual personalities start to emerge.

At this stage, we welcome expressions of interest through our Contact Form.

Visits will begin in late February, once the puppies are old enough to safely welcome visitors.

What to Expect

Our puppies remain with us until they are ready to leave for their new homes at around eight weeks old. During this time, we focus on providing a calm, supportive early environment that encourages confidence and curiosity.

This includes:
• Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Sensory Stimulation from days 3–16
• Daily gentle handling and early socialisation
• Age-appropriate enrichment and play
• Routine worming and health checks
• Gradual exposure to everyday household sounds and routines

We share regular updates through photos, short videos, and blog posts so you can follow the journey as it unfolds.

*When deciding on a Filial Generation label for this litter, we considered F2, which technically refers to the offspring of two F1 Cockapoos. However, because this litter's sire is an F1 Cockapoo and our dam is an F1b Cockapoo, the puppies are not an even 50/50 mix of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle like F1 or F2 puppies—they are approximately 62.5% Poodle. To reflect this higher-Poodle lineage more accurately, we use the term F1b+, while also providing a complete five-generation family tree during puppy visits so buyers can see the exact parentage for themselves.

An F1b Cockapoo like Caramel is the result of breeding an F1 Cockapoo back to a purebred Poodle. This increases the Poodle influence to 75%, typically producing curlier coats and lower shedding. The “b” in F1b simply indicates this backcross to a Poodle, and in our case, the F1b dam contributes to this litter's higher-Poodle genetics.

Meet The Puppies - One Male Remaining!

Pup 2 - The Green Collar Boy is a lovely little Cockapoo with a wonderfully sweet nature and an easy, balanced temperament. He enjoys playful moments with his littermates but is especially fond of human company and happily settles for cuddles and gentle handling. Raised in our family home, he is confident around everyday household sights and sounds and shows a natural curiosity about the world around him. He’s developing into a calm, affectionate and people-focused companion and will be ready to join his new family from 28 March.

16 Days Old

The puppies now have their eyes open and they're starting to toddle around on all four legs instead of scooting and crawling. Today is the last day of Early Neurological Stimulation, which involves a routine of stimulation that helps them build resilience and stress tolerance. See my blog post on ENS and ESS for details and video..

Expected Adult Size and Weight of Litter Two

Based on the genetics of both parents and the growth patterns observed in our first litter, we can give clear guidance on the expected adult size of puppies from this second litter. Rudy is an F1 Toy Cockapoo weighing approximately 8.5 kg, and Caramel is an F1b Cockapoo who maintains an adult weight of 10-11 kg when not pregnant. Caramel’s genetic makeup is approximately 62.5% Toy Poodle, 12.5% Miniature Poodle, and 25% English Show Cocker Spaniel, placing her firmly in the small-to-medium Cockapoo range.

From our first litter with this same pairing, a consistent pattern emerged. Female puppies matured to around 10–11 kg, closely matching Caramel’s adult weight. Male puppies grew slightly larger, generally settling in the 12–14 kg range when maintained at a healthy weight. This difference between males and females is typical and reflects normal growth patterns.

We therefore expect puppies from this second litter to mature along similar lines. Female puppies are likely to reach approximately 10–11 kg, while males will usually fall in the 12–14 kg range. As with all dogs, some variation is normal and influenced by factors such as metabolism, diet, and activity level.

It’s also worth noting that dogs may occasionally become slightly overweight due to temporary or seasonal circumstances. Regular veterinary check-ups can help owners monitor body condition and make appropriate adjustments to diet and exercise, supporting a healthy weight throughout adulthood.
