Three Weeks Old Today - Video Introductions

Caramel's puppies are three weeks old today. Their eyes and ears are open and they are walking and exploring. Their personalities are emerging and they're starting to nip at each other, wrestle and tumble. We dewormed them a week ago and will repeat this at 4, 6 and 8 weeks. We are starting their socialisation process slowly, but surely. We brush their hair daily, so they will be used to this when they go to their new homes. I asked my son to practice oboe in the living room tonight, so they could hear him play. The whelping room is just off our kitchen and now that they can self regulate body temperature, we are starting to leave it open a bit so they can hear family life. They're outgrowing the whelping box and wanting to see what is beyond it, so I'll remove the front wall soon. I bought a piece of vinyl flooring that has a grippe texture to put under their whelping pen. We'll light our AGA and move them out to our open plan living/dining room in about a week to fully immerse them in family life. We will accept home visits from prospective buyers once they are four weeks old. Prospective buyer one is booked for the 11th November. I am holding pups 1 and 5 until this family makes their final selection that day. Buy two will visit soon and make a selection, likely pup 4. We have several more people interested and will start scheduling them in wait list order.
